Good bye, 2017!

It ends another year. A not so pleasant year for me. The quilting and sewing journey was full of obstacles and the personal life was complicated by all sort of situations. Things have improved only in the last days of 2017, on time to cheer us up for looking with a little hope for 2018.

That being said, I want to bring into this post an optimistic note.

This is one of my new patchwork designs. I started thinking about it this autumn and I'm still working on it, trying to find its best layout and use. I will tell you more about this block in one of my future posts.

For now, here is one of the bags for which I used this variant.

And here is a printable including it - the 2018 one page Calendar - a present for you, my faithful readers.

Good Bye 2014!

For the last blog post of 2014 I made for you this postcard with one of my favorite flowers. I hope to surprise you in a pleasant way, because as you may see, it is not about snow and winter. The weather is cold and bitter and there is a lot of snow outside. That's why I decided to choose a background that better illustrates my wishes for you for the new year to come.

Santa gave me a wonderful gift this year: a book I have wanted for a long time.
That's why I use one of its illustrations to say Goodbye to 2012 and make my New Year greetings for you

 

....and because this little boy reminds  me of my son when he was that age...
