Lavender scent / Parfum de lavanda

Am inceput sa pun la pastrare lavanda culeasa.
M-am gandit sa modific un pic forma saculetilor.
Am folosit o tesatura mai rara pentru fata brodata, ca sa lase parfumul sa iasa, dar din pacate, iese si un praf fin format din frecarea florilor uscate de lavanda, una de alta. Si cumparasem tesatura asta special pentru saculeti. O am de mult. De cum am vazut-o, mi-am zis ca e potrivita pentru asta! Ei, uite ca nu e! 

 

Urmatorii saculeti o sa-i fac din panza mai deasa, pe care am folosit-o acum doar pentru partea din spate. Si broderia va iesi mai bine pe ea. Numai de-as mai gasi danteluta crem de bumbac, la fel de fina, ca din pacate, e pe terminate...

 Cei care ii vor dori chiar si asa, sunt sigura ca se vor bucura de ei, trecandu-le cu vedera micul inconvenient.

Ceilalti ii vor mai astepta putin pe urmatorii.

Sa aveti o zi frumoasa!

Improvising/Improvizand

Unele ies, altele, nu.
Si nici alea care ies nu sunt asa cum le-am gandit.

Am constatat ca am nevoie de fete de perna. Si decorative si pentru lenjeria de pat.
Prilej de relaxare activa si de incercari!

Astea sunt pentru V.
Mai am o gramada de facut, pentru ca am dat si rateuri.
Nimic nou: graba strica treaba!

Sa aveti o saptamana frumoasa!

Your phone is ringing....

My son has two cell phones and he need always something in which to take them with him.
Phone pouches are an open issue for me. I didn't get yet to make  the best pouch pattern for gathering two or more phones without transforming it in a bag: neat shape, not too large, easy to handle and to carry-on and most of all, beautified with that  little ornament meaning something important for the owner.

So, here it is another trial.

The main ingredients:  denim fabric, synthetic fabric for lining, zipper and one of the favorite cartoon character of V. (I hope I have not broken some copyright; I used it only for this personal project) digitized by me into machine embroidery. The repeated sentence was my add.

The pouch has a divider for the two inner spaces. I couldn't take a photo of it.

 Now I'm waiting the test of time for some pattern improvements.

Opening the bags Season

Summer is near and I started to make some fabric bags.

The first one is "Danielle" - Geta Grama's pattern.
Indeed, an easy pattern to sew: detailed instructions, printable templates, very useful tips and many pictures, for each step.
Although recommended for an elegant bag, I tried to make a "sport/beach " one, choosing the appropriate fabrics: denim-like stripped. And to cheer it up, I appliqued a flags garland.

I used lightweight fusible interfacing for lining, straps and pockets and batting for the outer panels and a very light and discreet quilting.

I chose to close my bag with zipper instead of magnetic snap. Funny, I prefer the complicated work of sewing a zipper, than the simple (for others!) installing of a magnetic snap.

It turned out sturdy enough without any stiffness and very handy with all those inside and outside pockets!

I love bags with pockets! There are always my first choice.
I will make at least one more, for sure.
