I had a full Sunday. My little family was reunited for a happy reason. We slept late night but I dreamed beautiful. This morning somebody-up-there decided to bring me suddenly down to Earth like this:
1. My laptop broke down.
2. My washing machine broke down.
I stop here my list in order to.... think positive.
So, I have only one illustration today. But a cheery one (I hope!). Like a golden Autumn day.
One block I used already for a small project I will show you when things will calm down here.
Have a beautiful week, my dears!

Late Summer Little Bag
Do you remember the last post?
Well, one piece of the painted fabrics became the new member of my Colibri bags family. I called it Late Summer.
Looking for something to match the painted fabrics, I discovered pieces of denim, cloth, corduroy and others, forgotten in the hidden nooks of the cabinet. When I saw them I was very happy because they were just right for the Autumn bags.
I was happy too working again after a long time, with combinations of fabrics having different compositions, thicknesses and textures.
For this bag I chose a thin blue corduroy fabric because it seemed to me that the painted fabric needs it as a still but not quiet companion.
It turned out a cheerful and handy little bag, big enough to host the essential things and small enough to wear it as a chic accessory.

Between Summer and Autumn
I'm still making Colibri little bags. I'm trying to fit the shape with the fabric print.
Because I didn't have fabric suitable for making bags, I tried my hand on two pieces of white fabric.
I painted one thinking about summer:
I like how the puffy paint gives a 3D layout. |
and the other one thinking about autumn:
Nothing spectacular, but now I have what I need in no time and without spending any money.
Back to work!
Have a beautiful day!

Colibri - another little bag
The second cross-body little bag is ready.
Colibri is a Hummingbird group. When I was thinking how I will name the new bag, the first thing that came into my head looking at it, was this tiny bird.
In the previous post I showed you the first little bag.
I changed its shape and I quilted it following the fabric print, doodling on the go.
How fun it is to make a bag having only 7" x 8"! It can be done in a few hours.
I simple love this crazy printed fabric! I made out this little bags more for the sake of it.
Have a beautiful day, my dears!

Can I Get a Whoop Whoop?

The same bag, the other side. |
I made it two compartments, one of them being closed with Velcro. |
Let's see what will come up!

A Little Bag
I had an orphan block -"Three and Six" named by Judy Hopkins - and I didn't knew if I will continue to make a quilt or not.
In fact I liked this printed fabric I bought from a local shop and I made a little test to see how it combines with my Kona solids scraps.
And because my brain is still in the "bag period", I used it for a little bag.
It turned out a pouch with cross-body strap, like I wanted.
I think I will make a few more such little pouch-bags. The perfect projects for the active breaks.
Have a beautiful September, my dears!
